About Just Practice Now
Just Practice Now is a gymnastics conditioning and injury prevention service founded by Takato Shimodaira (下平隆人), a Licensed Physiotherapist and Japan National Team Trainer with over 15 years of experience. Based in Japan, the service supports gymnasts worldwide through online 1-on-1 sessions, intensive training programs in Japan, and on-site overseas visits.
The methodology is built on the 9 Pillars of Support, organized into three layers: Structural Foundations (self-conditioning, body mechanics, posture improvement), Kinetic Quality (fundamental development, joint mobility, coordination), and Strategic Performance (competition planning, nutrition & mental support, world-class insights). This approach bridges Japanese gymnastics culture and scientific conditioning to create lasting transformation.
Takato has supported athletes at the World Junior Championships, NHK Cup, All-Japan Championships, and numerous international competitions. He is affiliated with the Japan Gymnastics Association as a National Trainer and Junior National Trainer, and provides support through Tokushukai Gymnastics Club.
